Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Daily Operations: Oversee arts classes, workshops, and events, ensuring smooth planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Supervise Program Staff: Lead and support a team of teaching artists, assistants, and volunteers to ensure quality delivery.
- Participant Engagement: Serve as the main contact for youth participants and their families, ensuring positive communication and engagement.
- Event Coordination: Plan and manage public events, exhibitions, and performances showcasing participant talents.
- Outreach & Recruitment: Develop strategies to increase youth participation, build relationships with local schools and organizations, and raise awareness at community events.
- Marketing & Communications: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote programs through social media, flyers, and newsletters.
- Data & Reporting: Track participant data, program outcomes, and provide reports to leadership and funders.
- Volunteer Management: Recruit and train volunteers to support arts programming and community events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Nonprofit Management, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in program coordination, especially in community arts, youth programs, or nonprofit settings.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of various art forms (e.g., visual arts, music, dance).
- Experience working with underserved or diverse communities.
- Event planning and budget management experience.
