The organization currently seeks to fill the position of Food Pantry Assistant. The successful candidate will report to the Food Pantry Supervisor and serve as part of a team.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Food Pantry Assistant is responsible for helping with the day-to-day running of our food pantry. The role blends inventory management with customer service in a ministry environment. If you love a fast-paced environment and meeting new people, this position could be for you!
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Assisting community members visiting the Pantry to receive free food
- Recording incoming and outgoing food donations
- Recording client information in Link2Feed
- Submitting all daily inventory records to appropriate databases
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment that adheres to ServSafe regulations
- Assisting in safeguarding warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
Due to the interface with the clients, all jobs at Light of Life require employees to:
- Participate in the ministry of Light of Life Rescue Mission and walk alongside clients sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them through actions and words.
- Resolve all issues in ways that promote the principles of Light of Life while following the processes described in the Light of Life staff handbook.
- Practice effective stewardship of all resources.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE:
- College degree in related field preferred but not required
- Competent user of computer and mobile computing device
- Prior work experience offering customer service
- Experience working in a warehouse preferred
- ServSafe Certified, or ability to obtain
