SUMMARY OF POSITION
Operates a drug testing lab by assessing specimens, interpreting results, providing consultation, and researching technical advances. This role is a key element in ex ecuting the continuum of care for clients of the long-term programs .
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains the laboratory information management system and equipment to ensure accurate quality data to inform Program client care :
Performs a variety of routine and complex procedures using established criteria to provide quality information. Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity and consistency for test methods.
C ollect s and process es client specimens in accordance with laboratory policies .
Keeps current with new drug interactions and cross reactivity possibilities, medications commonly prescribed, and changing technologies.
Provide consultation and guidance on individual cases as needed.
