Job Title: Service Provider: Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)

Location: Remote and/or In Person at Student's Home

Position Type: Independent Contractor

Job Summary:

The BCBA (board-certified behavior analyst) is responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior plans based on these assessments. The BCBA is to ensure the effective implementation of all treatment plans and programming for their students on their caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to professional and legal requirements, the principles of behavior analysis and demonstrates sound professional judgment at all times.
  • Collaborates with families, caregivers and all service providers as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
  • Performs direct and indirect assessments to identify the function of student’s behaviors.
  • Develops a treatment plan (including behavior support plan) based on the functions of the behavior and treatment methodologies that are evidence-based.
  • Attends relevant meetings for students, including treatment team meetings, IEP/ISP (as allowed/needed). Adequately demonstrates their abilities to work effectively as a part of a clinical team.
  • Collects data before and during the implementation of the plan so that the plan’s efficacy can be assessed and data-based decisions can be made.
  • Provides direct instruction/ongoing supervision, training and support to students and family members during regularly-scheduled sessions.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the implemented treatment plan and modifies the plan as necessary.
  • Manages caseload and prepares and submits all required documentation on time. This includes, but is not limited to: assessments, treatment plans/PBSPs, session notes after every session, at least monthly analysis of the data, updating the treatment plans as needed, etc.
  • Supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) if assigned to their caseload.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and educators.
  • Previous BCBA experience in education setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of different BCBA methodologies and techniques.
  • Ability to encourage, positively reinforce, and provide constructive feedback to students to build confidence.
  • Proficiency with online teaching platforms and tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams) or ability to learn various online platforms.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.

Qualifications:

  • Active BCBA certification from BACB.
  • FBI, Child Abuse and PA Criminal Record clearance results from within the past year or the ability to obtain during hiring process.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
