We are seeking motivated, kind individuals with desire and/or a background working with students Kindergarten through 12th grades with disabilities to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support students across various subjects, offering personalized assistance, clarifying concepts, and fostering a productive learning environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong educational background, success navigating online resources, and the ability to engage with students remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one instructional support to students in various subjects via online platforms.
- Assist students with homework, assignments, and exam preparation.
- Clarify and explain complex concepts in an accessible and understandable manner.
- Develop and implement customized learning strategies to address individual student needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting support strategies as necessary.
- Maintain regular communication with students and, if applicable, their parents or guardians to report on progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain proper documentation of sessions and progress for student goals and billing purposes.
- Utilize various educational technologies and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Stay updated with the latest educational best practices, tools, and trends to continuously improve service delivery.
- Collaborate with other instructional support team members to share insights and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in providing instructional support, especially in a remote setting is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with online teaching platforms and tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams) or ability to learn various online platforms.
- Ability to motivate and engage students in a virtual learning environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
