About Light the Way Ministry:


  • Light the Way Ministry is a nonprofit dedicated to producing Christian music festivals, tours, and concerts to share the Gospel and unite communities. With a mission to take church outside the walls, we’ve reached nearly 200,000 people across the country. From large-scale events like the annual Light the Way Music Festival to regional celebrations, we inspire, connect, and grow through Christ-centered experiences.


Position Summary:


We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dynamic individual to lead our Marketing, PR, and Donor/Sponsorship efforts. This role is vital to advancing the ministry's mission through effective storytelling, relationship building, and strategic promotion. The ideal candidate is a people person who embodies the values of Light the Way Ministry, excels at fostering connections, and has expertise in digital marketing, public relations, and fundraising.


Key Responsibilities:


Marketing & Public Relations:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote events, initiatives, and the ministry’s mission.
  • Manage the ministry’s digital presence, including social media platforms, email marketing, and website updates.
  • Plan and run digital ad campaigns, leveraging research and analytics to optimize performance.
  • Create compelling content and press materials, such as newsletters, press releases, and blogs.
  • Collaborate with media outlets and partners to amplify the ministry's message.


Donor & Sponsorship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors and sponsors.
  • Develop sponsorship packages and donor engagement plans tailored to partner needs.
  • Coordinate with donors and sponsors to ensure fulfillment of agreements and ongoing appreciation.
  • Plan and execute donor appreciation events and initiatives, such as the Red Carpet Gala.
  • Monitor fundraising trends and identify growth opportunities.


Event Support:

  • Assist in promoting the ministry’s events, including the annual Light the Way Music Festivals and regional celebrations.
  • Work closely with the event team to ensure seamless sponsorship integrations and marketing.
  • Represent the ministry at events to build rapport with attendees, sponsors, and partners.


Qualifications:

  • Strong belief in Light the Way Ministry’s mission and values.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a natural people person who thrives on building relationships.
  • Proven experience in marketing, public relations, and/or fundraising.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including social media management, analytics, and ad platforms.
  • Ability to create engaging written and visual content.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with donor management systems and CRM tools is a plus.


Job Requirements

Minimum one (1) years of experience working in a professional, fast-paced business or ministry office environment, preferably with an emphasis on creative communications and marketing responsibilities. This also includes secretarial and general clerical experience OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Develop and maintain a close personal walk with the Lord, including:
  • Daily devotional time with the Lord.
  • Daily dependence on the empowerment of the Spirit.
  • Develop a strong marriage and family life. This includes:
  • Communicating and sharing with your spouse (If married).
  • Spending time together on days off and when extra time is available.
  • Keep personal finances in order with no delinquencies.
  • Attend church regularly. 
  • Maintain a Christian outlook and attitude at all times.
  • Maintain loyalty to the ministry team and our partners, actively promoting unity within the ministry.
