What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager Lighting Quotation Specialist position at LIGHT?
The following position will be based in Torrance, California working with a team of professionals within LIGHT, one of the leading Manufacturers Sales Rep. Agencies in the Industry.
Position Description
- Responsible for providing quotations to customers by coordinating bid strategy with Project Managers and Outside Sales Representatives
- Application of sales and technical knowledge for the preparation of quotation packages for moderate to complex projects
- Understands customer requirements and offers solutions that maximize profitability and add value
- Review customer specifications/drawings to ensure the quote is technically compatible and competitive
- Coordinates with Distribution / Specification teams to determine and clarify project requirements to ensure quality output
- Coordinates with the electrical distributor, contractor, and manufacturer to provide a complete and competitive bid package
- Follows up on outstanding quotations to secure orders, improve quotation process, and measure effectiveness
Position Requirements
- Must live in Southern California
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with lighting fixtures, electrical or related products and solutions in a related role that requires pricing research, strong detail orientation, and excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings
- Basic technical knowledge of lighting installations, industry trends, construction, and building codes
- Strong technical knowledge of architectural lighting.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships, communicate with customers and co-workers to provide technical information
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook / Office
- Experience with OASIS for Sales Agents a plus
- Work with AGI 32 Lighting Analytics a plus
- Familiar with Bluebeam Software a plus
- Controls project management a plus
