Lead Teacher
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum that align with the daycare's educational philosophy
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the classroom
- Supervise and engage children in various activities, including math, physical education, and behavioral therapy
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers as needed
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations
- Ensure compliance with all child welfare regulations and licensing standards
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development
Qualifications:
- Two Years Experience in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Child care clearances for the state of Pennsylvania, and if out of state residency if
applicable.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and strategies
- Strong understanding of child development principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Physical ability to actively engage with children in physical education activities
