We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for young children. Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism or behavioral challenges
- Provide individualized attention and support to students during classroom activities
- Assist with behavior management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment for all students
- Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
- Assist with record keeping, including attendance and progress reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with curriculum development and literacy education
- Understanding of special education strategies for children with diverse needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with children
