Position Summary
As a Billing Clerk, you will provide financial, administrative and clerical services to ensure accuracy and efficiency of operations and subscriber billing by performing the duties below. Must be able to communicate, collaborate and cooperate with vendors, customers, peers and managers as necessary to meet Company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
May include the following, plus other duties as assigned.
- Processes and monitors incoming subscriber correspondence to ensure accurate subscriber and revenue reporting.
- Verifies discrepancies and resolves subscriber's billing issues.
- Performs day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data.
- Prepares and sends out customer disconnect notices and processes temporary and permanent non-pay disconnects.
- Performs various collection actions to facilitate payment of invoices due to the Company by sending bill reminders and making collection calls to outstanding accounts.
- Reviews subscriber accounts for possible assignment and prepares information for the collection agency. Processes closed account refunds for all lines of service.
- Performs auto-pay process for credit cards & ACH processing.

Experience and Qualifications
- A scrappy, nimble, innovative, hands-on contributor who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to accomplish goals and has passion for competing and winning against larger players in the market.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, credit practices and collection regulations
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and billing software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientated and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintains strict confidentiality
- Works under general supervision
