In 2024 Lightcurve closed on a transaction acquiring the Washington state operations of Consolidated Communications. Since then, Lightcurve has announced plans to deploy fiber optic broadband in several communities. These investments will allow Lightcurve to rapidly invest in modern fiber-optic broadband networks in both existing markets as well as in several expansion markets, bringing the latest in high-speed reliable broadband solutions to its communities.
Position Summary
As a full-time IT Systems Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering first-line technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT services. You will manage inbound technical inquiries, troubleshoot a variety of IT issues, and support system deployments and maintenance across diverse customer environments. Your hands-on expertise with Windows operating systems and software installations will be key to maintaining our high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Service Desk Support:
· Take inbound technical inquiries via telephone, email, or other channels.
· Create, triage, and route tickets to resolve common technical issues.
· Communicate ticket status updates clearly to end users.
Technical Troubleshooting & Resolution:
· Diagnose and resolve issues related to software applications, including installation and troubleshooting of software.
· Address operating system challenges on Windows 7 and Windows 10 Professional.
· Troubleshoot printer issues, including print spool repair.
· Install and troubleshoot major application patches.
· Identify, research, and resolve various technical customer issues.
System Setup & Deployment:
· Install desktop software and perform remote troubleshooting as needed.
· Execute Windows OS and application installations as part of Make-Ready responsibilities for new or re-built workstations and laptops.
· Assist engineers with technical tasks to ensure seamless deployments.
· Shift Transition & Communication:
· Participate in end-of-shift debriefings to transition open tickets to the next technician.
· Receive updates from the previous shift regarding pending issues.
· Adapt to shift-based schedules, which may extend up to 12 hours per day, with potential schedule changes based on business needs.
· Process Adherence:
· Follow instructions precisely and consistently to maintain high service standards.
· Execute processes tailored to multiple customer environments according to established policies.

Experience and Qualifications
· Proven experience in the installation and troubleshooting of software applications.
· Hands-on expertise with Windows 7 and Windows 10 Professional installations and troubleshooting.
· Knowledge of printer issues, troubleshooting, and print spool repair.
· Experience with the installation and troubleshooting of major application patches.
· Familiarity with Active Directory is a major plus.
· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
· Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
· Note: There is no degree requirement for this role.
· Demonstrable understanding of technology trends in the digital infrastructure sector and applying such technology to address needs and pain points.
· A scrappy, nimble, innovative, and hands-on contributor who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to accomplish goals and has passion for competing and winning against larger players in the market.
