Since then, Lightcurve has announced plans to deploy fiber optic broadband in several communities. These investments will allow Lightcurve to rapidly invest in modern fiber-optic broadband networks in both existing markets as well as in several expansion markets, bringing the latest in high-speed reliable broadband solutions to its communities.
Position Summary
As a full-time Windows/Microsoft 365 Administrator in our Information Technology Department, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our hybrid environment across on-premises Active Directory and our Microsoft 365 tenant. You will oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers (both physical and virtual) and Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID / Azure Active Directory to ensure seamless operations and support for end users. This role requires deep expertise in Windows Server administration, Microsoft 365 services, and a proactive mindset for identifying and addressing issues before they impact the business.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer and maintain the Microsoft 365 tenant, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.
- Manage user identities and access through Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including role-based access control, MFA, and SSO integrations.
- Oversee the configuration and administration of Exchange Online, Intune, Purview, Defender, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related applications.
- Implement and monitor security policies (e.g., conditional access, data loss prevention) and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for Microsoft 365 service-related issues.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of the Microsoft 365 environment to identify risks and implement mitigations.
On-Premises Active Directory & Hybrid Environment
- Manage and maintain on-premises Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, Group Policy management, and DNS/DHCP services.
- Implement and support hybrid identity solutions (e.g., Azure AD Connect) to synchronize on-premises AD with Microsoft 365.
- Monitor and troubleshoot directory synchronization issues, replication, and identity conflicts.
Server Administration & Provisioning
- Build, configure, and maintain Windows servers (physical and virtual) in both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Plan, implement, and document server upgrades, migrations, and patches to minimize downtime.
- Configure and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V) to provision and monitor virtual machines.
- Implement server security best practices, including patch management, endpoint protection, and configuration hardening.
- Coordinate backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and high availability.
Automation & Scripting
- Utilize scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation of administrative tasks, reporting, and process optimization.
- Develop and maintain scripts for server provisioning, configuration management, and routine system checks.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and ensure IT alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including runbooks, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate new features, technologies, and processes that can improve system reliability, security, and efficiency.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process automation and optimization in both on-premises and cloud services.

Experience and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 3 years of experience managing Microsoft 365 environments, with a focus on administration and security.
· 3 years of experience managing Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
· Expertise in Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including group management, identity synchronization (Azure AD Connect), and SSO integration.
· Strong knowledge of Intune and Defender endpoint management solutions.
· Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and reporting.
· Experience with implementing and managing security features like MFA, conditional access, and data retention policies.
· Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V) for server provisioning and management.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, MCSE, or MCSA are a plus.
· Demonstrable understanding of technology trends in the digital infrastructure sector and applying such technology to address needs and pain points.
