We are seeking a detail-oriented HR and Regulatory Compliance Specialist to support human resources functions while ensuring compliance with all regulations affecting business operations. The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining a compliant and efficient work environment by supporting policy development, conducting training, and ensuring regulatory adherence across HR and business operations.

Starting out with Coupler Workstations for manufacturing Fused Biconic Taper products, LIGHTEL has expanded into Fused Fiber components, Micro-Optic passive optical components, Video Microscopes for inspection purposes, and many other fiber optic related products and services. Our coupler workstations are updated to reflect the latest in software, packaging, and control systems. Our broad range of analog and digital video microscope products keeps network down time to a minimum, and allows documentation through an easy to use software interface.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations.
- Support employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and offboarding.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws and company standards.
- Assist in employee relations, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct training programs on workplace policies, ethics, and safety.
- Ensure the company complies with applicable laws and regulations related to HR, corporate governance, business operations, and environmental standards.
- Monitor compliance with employment laws, workplace safety (OSHA), environmental regulations (EPA, RoHS, REACH), and sustainability initiatives.
- Support trade compliance efforts, including import/export regulations (ITAR, EAR) and supply chain policies.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify and address compliance gaps.
- Support ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) compliance and reporting efforts.
- Assist in implementing and conducting employee training programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, payroll processing, and regulatory compliance; 5 or more years of experience preferred.
- Knowledge of employment laws, corporate regulations, environmental policies, and business compliance practices.
- Self-starter; strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure ethical business practices.
- Authorized to work in the US required.
