LightFeather is seeking a Cloud Engineer β GCP who will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires expertise in infrastructure automation, cloud security, networking, and CI/CD pipeline development. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cloud optimization and automation efforts in a high-security government environment.

Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Engineering: Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient GCP environments to support enterprise applications.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Terraform, Packer, and Jenkins pipelines to automate cloud provisioning and configuration management.
- Cloud Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including IAM role management, encryption, and GCP Security Command Center to ensure adherence to federal standards.
- Networking & Connectivity: Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid cloud networking to optimize performance and security.
- CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Terraform to streamline deployments and cloud automation.
- Cloud Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize GCP resources using Harness Cloud Costs, Stackdriver, and cost analytics tools to drive efficiency and reduce spending.
- Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Operations: Support integrations between GCP, AWS, and Azure, ensuring seamless interoperability across cloud environments.
- Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting for cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability and rapid recovery from failures.
- Server Automation & Configuration Management: Develop and maintain PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripts for system administration and automated deployments.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align cloud strategies with business needs.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- US Citizenship.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or DevOps, with a focus on GCP.
- Certifications: Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure or equivalent GCP certification preferred.
- Cloud Automation & DevOps: Strong expertise in Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps for automation and continuous integration.
- Security & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of GCP IAM, encryption, security monitoring, and compliance frameworks.
- Networking & Load Balancing: Proficiency in configuring GCP VPCs, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Interconnect, and VPNs.
- Multi-Cloud Experience: Familiarity with AWS and Azure for cross-cloud integrations and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Scripting & Automation: Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, and JSON/YAML scripting for cloud automation.
Preferred:
- Experience with serverless computing, Kubernetes (GKE), and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of GCP Anthos, Cloud Functions, and App Engine for scalable deployments.
- Familiarity with incident response, disaster recovery, and high-availability cloud architectures.
