LightFeather is currently seeking talented Java Microservice Developers who are well versed in Cloud, DevOps/Security and Agile. Successful candidates must demonstrate a high degree of initiative, passion for innovation, a solid understanding of software engineering, and a willingness to work in a highly collaborative Agile and DevOps culture.
This is a Remote Position.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop enterprise-level microservices using Java Spring Boot framework.
- Write and execute software tests to ensure quality and functionality.
- Analyze user requirements to guide application design and development.
- Establish clear application goals and define core functionalities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Create comprehensive design documentation for use by engineering teams.
- Provide a detailed roadmap for enhancing the current Java Spring Boot microservice architecture.
- Develop user-friendly documentation to support end users.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile team, with a focus on automation, continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD) practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust with full BI clearance or above. Active or prior DHS Public Trust with full BI or higher clearance is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT-related field.
- 5 years of progressively responsible software engineering.
- 5 years of experience in the Information Technology field.
- 5 years of specific software engineering related to Java Spring Boot microservice applications.
- Strong understanding of deploying microservices as a containerized service to EKS preferably (or ECS).
- Strong understanding of maintaining CICD deployments of containerized services involving Jenkins and/or Harness.io.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery techniques.
- Experience with test-driven development and automated testing practices.
- Experience in large scale, high performance enterprise big data application deployment and solution architecture on complex heterogeneous environments in AWS.
- Demonstrated growth mindset, enthusiastic about learning new technologies quickly and applying gained knowledge to address business problems.
- Ability to communicate with clients on a business level and translate their needs into a technical solution.
