Clinical Supervisors provide direct care to patients and provide clinical supervision and training to clinicians. Clinical Supervisors may conduct individual, group supervision, and/or oversee clinical development of therapists. They provide general support to the Clinic Director including but not limited to assisting with hiring and onboarding of therapists as well as managing patient transfers and service additions. Clinical Supervisors are organizational culture carriers accountable for promoting clinical excellence and quality outcomes.
Administrative hours will not exceed 12 hours per week. Full-time status is required and will be maintained through both administrative hours and client-facing therapy schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver approximately 20 billable units of direct care to clients per week and provide up to 12 hours of administrative support.
- Complete all patient documentation and treatment plans in a timely manner.
- Provide individual and group supervision to clinic staff. Supervision to be provided both live and/or via video conference and across multiple sites as needed.
- Complete and maintain timely record of supervision notes. Note submission to be filed by the end of the day the supervision was held.
- Review clinical documentation of supervisees and clinicians, which includes evaluation and co-signatures for treatment plans, session notes and related documents, such as discharges and internal transfers.
- Assess clinicians across core competency areas; perform frequent audits and provide feedback to clinicians.
- Identify and monitor areas for performance improvement and report concerns regarding compliance or ethics to the Clinic Director.
- Provide support to the Clinic Director in the screening, interviewing, and training of new providers.
- Check in with new staff frequently for the first few weeks to manage questions/concerns regarding their tasks to ensure a positive onboard.
- Assist with intake, referrals, transfers, service additions and waitlist management.
- Manage patient complaints and/or problem behaviors and provide crisis/triage services as needed.
- Assist with daily site management, including assisting clinic director or administrative personnel with any issues that arise regarding patients, staff, or technology.
- Assist Clinic Director with addressing client and staff issues/concerns and questions about policies/procedures.
- Participate in development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Participate in management of clinical staff training, development, and team building including providing resources as needed.
- Attend required clinic staff meetings and help with planning agenda and leading meetings, as necessary.
- Assist Clinic Director in gathering materials and needed documents for chart audits, treatment plan reports, survey report, and other requirements.
- Collaborate with market leaders and community agencies as needed.
- Maintain organized files and track administrative time daily.
Qualifications:
- Be independently licensed as a mental health professional in the State of Washington and eligible to provide supervision to associates
- Minimum of two years of post-master's clinical experience
- One year of experience providing clinical supervision
- Strong computer abilities and proficiency with electronic medical records
- Strong commitment to professional Code of Ethics
- Understanding of privacy and HIPAA requirements
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team especially in stressful situations
- Graduate training or post graduate training in clinical supervision (Preferred)
- Experience with collaborative therapy and psychiatric care (Preferred)
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, methods, issues, and approaches in mental health (Preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of state WAC rules and regulations that apply to the delivery of mental, psychological, and behavioral health services (Preferred)

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job without assistance from another individual. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly sits for extended periods at a desk while communicating on the phone and/or computer. This job also requires physically being able to walk, stand, stoop and bend. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Compensation begins at $61,000 and increases based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
