We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to lead our medical team in providing high-quality care for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing medical services, shaping treatment strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supervising a team of medical professionals. This position reports directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead medical services, ensuring high standards of care for clients with substance use and mental health disorders.
- Supervise and mentor medical staff, including physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
- Oversee detox and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs, ensuring evidence-based protocols and safe patient care.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to create integrated treatment plans for clients.
- Develop and enforce medical policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance client care and maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Stay informed on emerging research and incorporate innovative treatment approaches.
- Serve as a liaison between medical, clinical, and administrative teams for coordinated care.
- Provide ongoing training and education for medical staff.
- Valid license as an MD or DO in the state of Ohio
- Direct experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or related fields
- Board Certified in Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active and Unrestricted DEA
- Completion of a Minimum of 24 Hours of Buprenorphine Training via ASAM or Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS) if not addiction-certified
- Must pass BCI check, all corporate compliance checks, and employment drug screen
- Experience overseeing residential withdrawal management (detox) and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs.
- Strong understanding of withdrawal management (detox) protocols, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Familiarity with ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) guidelines, SAMHSA regulations, and other industry standards.
