Body Shop Technician
Summary
As a Body Shop Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for servicing our guests' vehicles and ensuring quality workmanship. This position repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.

Essential Duties
- Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
- Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
- Prepares vehicles for paint work.
- Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Understands, keeps up to date with and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, Right-to-Know etc. Reports any deviations to management.
- Maintains up to date knowledge and training regarding industry trends and changes.
- Assist with training/mentoring new and upcoming technicians.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- ICAR certification as a Body Technician or willingness to complete this certification in the first year.
- Applicants holding ICAR Platnum certification are preferred.
- A good work ethic, a servant’s heart, and a great attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of auto body repair experience (minimum).
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, technical procedures, and insurance estimates. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
