The Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta (LCCA) is a multi-discipline behavioral healthcare center that offers mental health services to the communities of surrounding Augusta, Georgia. LCCA currently has exciting opportunities for a Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW). The Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) is responsible for
- comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.
- Completes psychosocial evaluations on assigned clients in a timely fashion.
- Assesses the impact of psychosocial stressors in order to minimize the negative, destructive outcome of a crisis experience.Assists law enforcement, family members and others with the admission process, both voluntary and involuntary.
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the client, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric and the general population.Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate.
- Conducts required therapy sessions with individuals, families and groups.
- Possesses excellent theoretical knowledge of psychopathology and treatment techniques as it relates to each type of therapeutic modality.
- The social worker is expected to function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the community relations program of the organization.
- Participates in continuous performance improvement activities.
- Communicates with outpatient referral sources, families/guardians, and outpatient aftercare providers.

Qualifications
Regulatory Requirements
- Masters Degree in Social Work
- Current state licensure required (LCSW, LICSW)
- A minimum of two (2) years experience in a supervised clinical behavioral health care setting preferred.
Language Skills:
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must have sufficient language skills and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to accurately and professionally implement and document the services provided to clients.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of a wide range of psychosocial, cognitive and /or developmental disorders.
- Ability to visually observe client needs.
- Possess the ability to work productively and effectively.
