Lighthouse Cafe is seeking an Interim Food Service Director to be part of our beautiful school campus in Antioch, Tennessee. Our team embraces a positive work environment and fantastic food! We provide fun, familiar meals as well as culinary-forward menu items to our students and staff members. Position Overview:
The essential responsibility in this position is to plan, coordinate, and oversee the operations of each of our food service departments. These departments include LCS Cafe, LCS PreK Cafe, LCS Coffee Bar, and LCS Lion’s Cafe. This role also includes ensuring the department runs efficiently with scheduling, ordering stock, managing stock and inventory, managing and directing the team, handling lunch accounts, overseeing P&Ls, and ensuring our families are satisfied with their dining experiences here at Lighthouse Christian School.
Additional responsibilities include implementing policies and standards for good work flow, monitoring and evaluating performance work within each location, weekly meetings with cafe team, weekly meetings with Head of School, biweekly meetings with our administration team, resolving service issues, planning and managing budget, hiring and training, and establishing relationships with families and vendors.

What you'll do:
- Design Lunch Menus
- Create recipes
- Support staff
- Communicate with all campus departments
- Create schedules
- Manage Inventory
- Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with Cafe recipes, safety, and allergen policies that exceed our guests’ expectations
- Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing
- Interact positively with LCS Cafe guests and Team Members
- Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HACCP)
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration or Business Management preferred)
- Experience with managing a commercial kitchen
- Understanding Culinary Dynamic
- ServSafe or Tennessee Food Handler Certificate
- Ability to create recipes and instructions in English
- Ability to interact with Cafe guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner
