Customer Service Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Counter Person to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while assisting with their food service needs. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of food safety practices.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, kitchen, and dining spaces.
• Adhere to food safety standards and regulations at all times.
• Assist in preparing food items as needed while following kitchen protocols.
• Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
• Collaborate with team members to meet customer needs and enhance overall service quality.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations is a plus, particularly in relation to food safety practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.66 - $17.81 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
