We are seeking a Registered Dental Assistant who is enthusiastic and enjoys interacting with and helping patients, working as part of a team, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. We're looking for outgoing individuals, who are positive minded, hardworking and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills, be an effective workplace leader, and be able to work on multiple projects at once while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Set up/turnover treatment rooms for procedures following OSHA regulations
- Keep dental units ready, stocked and clean
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide pre-op and post-op instructions
- Anticipate and assist dentist’s needs
- Perform clinical dental procedures and expanded functions and other tasks as directed
- Take digital x-rays as needed
- Ensure proper treatment notes are recorded in patient’s chart
- Schedule appointments
- Communicate with doctor, other assistants, and front desk
- Manage lab cases
- Perform maintenance duties
- Manage inventory
- Cross-trained to be able to help as a front receptionist when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- RDA license
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Must be able to perform all administration duties needed to ensure the office is running efficiently and effectively
- Must be self-motivated, dependable, flexible, professional, able to work independently
- Must be able to provide excellent customer service.
- Proficient with computers
- Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients and staff
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and community
- At least one year of dental office experience preferred but not required, willing to train
- Graduate of accredited dental assisting program or dental assisting experience preferred
- Current CPR Provider (BLS) Certificate
- Preference using Dentrix software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 34 per week
