What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone with:
- 2 years of construction safety experience with Safety Degree or; or hold a CHST & OSHA 30 Construction
- OSHA 30 Construction certification preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E requirements
- Solid experience in, and understanding of, the construction process, Electrical Installation knowledge a plus
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- The ability to:
- Work independently with continued support by internal and external departments onsite & remotely
- Analyze and quickly resolve issues
- Conduct comprehensive onsite safety assessments, identifying, analyzing, and mitigating construction site hazards with effective Pre-Task Planning
- Effectively plan, develop, and communicate effective Emergency Action Plans for site personnel
- Ensure:
- Proper PPE and tooling is available for required tasks
- Safety meetings and safety trainings are consistently provided onsite and training records properly maintained to company and OSHA compliance
- Educate field personnel on:
- Site-specific topics via weekly Toolbox Talks and trainings
- Proper accident reporting documentation, ensuring required records/reports are complete and accurate
- Participate in
- Pre-construction and hand-off meetings
- Investigations of all accidents and effectively complete required documentation
- Project Management and Client Specific internal/external meetings
- Assist in meeting the safety needs and specifications of the owner or general contractor
