JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
REPORTS TO: Organizational Effectiveness Manager
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
JOB SUMMARY:
RESPONSIBLE: Responsible for providing full-cycle HR support including onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration and leave support, HRIS administration, and policy and employment law compliance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the initial point of guidance, conflict resolution, and facilitation in the areas of employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits; advises both employee and management regarding policies and procedures; makes appropriate recommendations to management and employees based on base of knowledge, research and alignment with OE Manager and HR Director.
- Ensures a detailed investigation process, including investigation coordination, responses, and maintenance of accurate and detailed records and notes of the confidential investigatory process.
- Ensures compliance with policies and relevant laws, rules and regulations; in collaboration with OE Manager interprets and applies decisions to the application of non-routine or unusual situations.
- Provides oversight, updating and maintenance of human resources records.
- Oversees onboarding of new employees.
- Assists with benefit program coordination, including benefits presentations for open enrollment, benefits fair, maintaining and distributing benefits materials, processing forms, resolving benefits issues.
- Maintains leave tracking administration and communication including but not limited to; FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, Cobra.
- Assists with preparation of local and national required reports and other HR metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE:
- Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.
- Prior experience with an HRIS database required.
- Knowledge of benefits/payroll administration required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information
- Flexible and adaptable; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of Federal and State employment law.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in human resources (HR), business administration or related field
- Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive HR experience; generalist capacity preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
PHR/SHRM-CP preferred
