Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager is a critical leadership role within the organization responsible for the effective management of all maintenance operations within the facility. This position involves strategic planning, team leadership, and execution of maintenance activities to ensure the continuous operation of all equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance management, engineering principles, and safety regulations, coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs to enhance team skills and efficiency.
- Schedule and coordinate team activities to align with operational goals and production schedules.
Maintenance Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy that includes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Create and manage a detailed maintenance budget, forecasting costs and resource needs for maintenance activities.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure maintenance effectiveness and efficiency.
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring timely completion of work orders and minimal disruption to production.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed to company standards and specifications.
Technical Expertise
- Provide technical guidance and support in diagnosing complex equipment issues and developing effective solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in maintenance management.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety policies.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as needed to mitigate hazards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment performance data.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on maintenance performance, budget status, and improvement initiatives.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises maintenance team.
- Hires, trains, motivates, and manages team.
- Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of team.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Manages discipline and termination of assigned staff in accordance with organization policy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field; and/or 10 years equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of [5] years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in [aerosol industry, high speed conveying, facilities management].
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with relevant safety standards (e.g., OSHA).
- Proven experience with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
