Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves working closely with patients and their families, performing assessments, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments to determine healthcare needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide family planning education and support to patients.
- Assist with home community care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.
- Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe healthcare setting.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in internal medicine and hospice care settings.
- Perform procedures such as dialyzing patients when necessary.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient information.
- Assist in cosmetic procedures, including the administration of dermal fillers when qualified.
Experience
Candidates should possess a valid LPN license and have experience in nursing roles that may include family planning, home community care, or internal medicine. Familiarity with eClinicalWorks is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in infection control practices is essential. Ideal candidates will have a background in hospice care or similar environments, demonstrating the ability to lift patients safely and provide compassionate care during critical times.
