Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and document medical histories accurately.
- Administer medications and perform IV infusions as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Assist in medical procedures, including medical imaging and dialyze treatments.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Participate in medical-surgical procedures as needed, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in an ER or critical care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with neonatal ventilator management is a plus.
- Strong skills in medical documentation and patient assessment are essential for this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
