Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including home community care and clinical environments. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations, including HIPAA.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist in the collection and processing of specimens for laboratory testing.
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Support patients with pain management strategies and comfort measures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and home care practices.
- Operate neonatal ventilators and assist in the care of neonates when necessary.
- Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering a supportive environment.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Experience or training in specimen collection processing is preferred.
- Familiarity with standards of care in home community settings is advantageous.
- Ability to perform procedures in an operating room (OR) setting is a plus.
- Experience in dialysis care is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
