Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide essential nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while assisting with various medical procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with sterile processing of instruments and equipment.
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws and other necessary lab tests.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Provide care for infants, including assessments and developmental support.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Lift and transfer patients as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and care plans.
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices.
- Experience in sterile processing techniques is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic nursing procedures.
- Ability to perform venipuncture effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and empathy.
- Ability to lift patients safely using appropriate techniques.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage, particularly in infant care or durable medical equipment (DME) management.
