Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including home care, hospice care, and acute care environments. The LPN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures while ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Conduct assessments of patient health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Perform IV infusions and manage acute pain management protocols as needed.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and patient management.
- Ensure compliance with ICD-10 coding for accurate medical recordkeeping.
- Assist with medical imaging procedures when required.
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Experience
- Current LPN license in good standing.
- Previous experience in home care or hospice care is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with IV infusion techniques and acute pain management practices is a plus.
- Proficient in using electronic health records systems like Epic.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10 coding standards is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
