Summary
As an RN in the ICU for night shifts, you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care in a critical environment. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will utilize your core skills in patient assessment, IV insertion, and catheterization to monitor and support patients effectively. Your certifications in BLS, NRP, and ACLS, along with your experience with EHR systems like Cerner, will ensure compliance with best practices. Your critical care experience and knowledge of physiology will be essential in managing complex cases, making a significant impact on patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to patients in the CVICU, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Perform IV insertion and catheterization as needed, adhering to best practices.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using EHR systems like Cerner.
