Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an RN in the ICU, you will be responsible for monitoring critically ill patients, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions regularly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform tube feeding and assist with other nutritional needs.
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures as necessary for lab testing.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in an ICU or critical care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding is a plus.
- Experience with senior care, ER, or ophthalmology is beneficial.
- Skills in health coaching are desirable for patient education purposes.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
- Experience with dialysis procedures is an advantage.
