Long Term Care RN - Evening Shift
$40.92 - $44.11/hour
- 7 Week Assignment (Contract)

- 2nd Shift, 3:00pm-11:30pm - 40 hours/week guaranteed

Job Summary: The RN provides comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for residents through individualized care, support, and advocacy, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Assess and monitor residents' health status, including vital signs and medical history.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation.
Support and Advocacy:
- Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers.
- Advocate for residents' needs and preferences, promoting their dignity and independence.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate care.
- Participate in care team meetings and contribute to the development of care strategies.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and facility policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and support.
Qualifications:
Licensure:
- Current and valid RN license in PA or have a compact RN license.
Experience:
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
