Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and emergency rooms. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while adhering to medical protocols and standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a Level II Trauma Center or ICU setting to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention.
- Support patients with daily living activities as needed in inpatient or nursing home environments.
- Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Experience in hospital medicine, emergency room settings, or intensive care units is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
