What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Operator position at Lighthouse Industries Inc.?
The Assembler/Operator is primarily responsible for the Assembly and packaging of three of our main product lines. The assembler should be self motivated, and capable of working at a quick pace. The assembler is expected to develop a keen understanding of our own product lines, as well as the product lines of our customers. Success in this position is measured through daily & weekly benchmarks, with the expectation that production quotas are met consistantly. We are preferably seeking someone with prior experience using hand tools; Power drills, hammer, socket wrenches, exacto knives, ect. The Assembler is responsible for tracking the movement of their inventory from location to assembly to finished product, and reporting when inventory quantities are low. The Assembler is expected to maintain a clean and tidy work area that is conducive to the flow of production and Inventory. Additionally, at times the Assembler may be asked to step in and operate an Injection molding press, perform Inventory inspections, or step in and aid other departments with labor.
This job is located in the Northeast Industrial area of Michigan City.
Shifts are Mon-Thur, 6:30am- 5:00pm, with occasional overtime oppurtunities.
