Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent a laboratory in Schaumburg, IL area that is looking for a LCMS Operator that qualifies as a CLIA general supervisor to join their growing team!
Salary / Benefits / Shift :
30 Depending on Experience
Full Benefits (401K, Health, Vision, Dental)
Shift is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
Position Overview :
Performs routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures
Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines
Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance
Must be onsite to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by any individuals
Responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
Assuring that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications
Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests properly functioning
Providing training to all testing personnel
Annually evaluating and documenting the performance of all testing personnel
Perform other duties as directed
Candidate Profile :
B.S. in Biology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field
Qualify as testing personnel under CLIA guidelines and have at least 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing
MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred
Experience with Agilent 6420 and Mindray BS-480 analyzers preferred
Previous experience with toxicology sample prep
Candidate Profile :
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related science (or 24 credits in Chemistry / Biology constituting a biological science major) as required by CLIA
Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
