Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking an experienced Molecular Technologist to join a new lab for a urology practice near Kankakee, IL. This new in-house laboratory specializes in molecular testing, with a primary emphasis on PCR UTI testing. Hours will most likely be Mon-Friday, 8am-5pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform molecular testing, with a primary focus on PCR-based UTI testing.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot QuantStudio equipment to ensure accurate and efficient results.
- Conduct DNA / RNA extraction and prepare samples for real-time PCR analysis.
- Analyze, interpret, and report test results with a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintain strict adherence to laboratory protocols, including compliance with HIPAA, cGMP, and CAP / CLIA regulations.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including reagents and consumables, ensuring readiness for testing.
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize test performance and turnaround times.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including instrument calibration, proficiency testing, and performance monitoring.
- Provide technical support and training for staff as needed.
