Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Molecular Technologist to join our laboratory team in Plano, TX. The Molecular Technologist will be responsible for performing molecular diagnostic tests, analyzing DNA / RNA samples, and ensuring the accuracy of laboratory results. This position plays a key role in the detection of genetic diseases, infectious agents, and other molecular abnormalities, contributing to patient care and research.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform molecular-based testing such as PCR, sequencing, and hybridization assays.
- Analyze and interpret results in compliance with laboratory protocols and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and process biological samples, including DNA / RNA extraction, quantification, and amplification.
- Maintain and troubleshoot molecular laboratory equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control procedures, including documentation and reporting of results.
- Collaborate with pathologists, geneticists, and other laboratory staff to ensure accurate diagnosis and reporting.
- Participate in research and development of new assays and techniques.
- Monitor and manage laboratory inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
- Comply with CLIA, CAP, and other relevant regulatory standards.
