Location : College Park, MD (Greenbelt Rail Yard)
Duration : 6 Months Temp-to-Hire
Hours : 5 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 PM
Pay Rate : $28 - $32 / hr
Position Overview :
We are currently seeking multiple Function Test Technicians for a client in College Park, MD (Greenbelt Rail Yard).
Key Responsibilities :
As a Function Test Technician, your duties will include :
- Performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on rail cars in the final assembly process.
- Conducting tests on systems such as HVAC, brakes, propulsion, communication, and trainline systems using tools like multi-meters and PC-based test equipment.
- Reading and interpreting piping diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Completing test record sheets, creating rejection reports, and documenting findings.
- Interacting with customers, communicating assignments clearly and confidently.
- Supporting engineering teams on various tests as needed.
