We are currently seeking an Operations Manager in Shelton, CT. Onsite

Salary: $100-120K Depending on experience
Position Summary and Special Duties:
We are looking for someone to join our team as the Operations Manager and elevate the department.
As the Operations Manager you will partner closely with the President/CEO and cross-functional
department heads to identify opportunities and solve issues, resulting in cost savings and productivity.

Your main responsibilities will be to manage the Quality Control and Shipping/Receiving teams to ensure.

work collaboratively with the team in Italy to ensure inventory is up to date and readily available. As the
Operations Manager you will be responsible for our freight shipping vendors, company fleet, and outsourced IT functions.
What you can expect in the Operations Manager role:
- Review current business SOP’s and preferred vendors.
- Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
- Make cost/time saving recommendations to improve business procedures.
- Own Quality Control & Inventory Management
- Manage Quality Control Specialist, SOPs, and QC checklist for all instruments.
- Success in project management identifying project scope and establishing realistic goals.
- Careful analysis, and evaluation of alternative solutions to achieve the goals, with ability to translate objectives into clear action plans.
- Experience with Salesforce.com, QuickBooks, and Fishbowl or similar programs
- On and off-site storage facilities
- Manage Shipping & Receiving Process
- Build and Maintain relationships with supply chain vendors.
- Liaison with Freight Shipping companies
- Review and negotiate pricing contracts.
- Analyze vendors accuracy and timing of deliveries.
- Responsible for maintaining company vehicles.
- IT Functions and Employee Equipment
- Main point of contact for basic in-house IT functions and liaison for out-sourced IT firm
- Technically savvy and experienced in a range of software programs.
- Ability to evaluate and manage implementation of new programs.
- Purchase and track Employee Equipment
Basic skills we prefer you to have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a successful Operations Manager in a small to mid-sized company - BS degree in Science, Business, or a related discipline
- 3 years of QuickBooks or similar software knowledge
- Inventory management & expense reporting software experience (Fishbowl and Concur preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to have ownership of tasks and work independently, while managing multiple projects and deadlines
