Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Network Support Technician position! This is a 6 month contract-to-hire role and will be hybrid in Charlotte, NC working in the office on Monday and Wednesday every other week. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide support via phone and portal to assist with remote network setups, configurations, and issues.
- Deliver, configure, and support retail in-unit Internet connectivity and network hardware within remote field operations. Occasional onsite support may be required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve WAN/LAN/ISP connectivity issues, enterprise/local wireless solutions, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
- Validate and support PCI-compliant network designs for enterprise operations.
- Review, design, and troubleshoot network security configurations for new and existing remote in-unit implementations.
- Collaborate with internal support teams and 3rd-party vendors to install business-class internet services and resolve network issues.
- Ensure security controls are implemented and monitored according to company policies.
- Address audit recommendations through remediation and response mechanisms.
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for operational support.
What You'll Need to Have:
- 5 years of experience diagnosing and resolving remote hardware/software configuration issues in LAN/WAN environments.
- 5 years of networking experience, with strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS.
- CCNA certification required (or significant related experience in lieu of certification).
- Working knowledge of PCI DSS standards and network design considerations for retail environments.
- Familiarity with VPN technologies, Internet connectivity methods, and remote access tools.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco network hardware; experience with cloud-managed systems like Cisco Meraki is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven commitment to high-quality customer service and business value delivery.
Pay Range: $28 – $30/hr
