IT Support Specialist
Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is looking for a full-time IT Support Specialist to help provide technical support to end-users for PC, server, hardware, and/or software applications.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm
Starting pay: $23 an hour
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides technical support to end-users in person, via phone, or remote assistance.
- Troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software issues related to desktop systems.
- Installs, configures, and upgrades of desktop hardware components, including CPUs, memory, and hard drives.
- Installs, configures, and upgrades software applications and operating systems on desktops.
- Performs regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Sets up new desktop computers and peripheral devices for end-users.
- Supports Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Assists with the setup and configuration of printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Collaborates with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems and escalate issues when necessary.
- Performs account management and maintenance for various applications and systems (e.g., creates or modifies user accounts and permissions, and performs password resets).
- Maintains accurate records of technical issues and solutions in a ticketing system.
- Train send-users on basic troubleshooting techniques and the proper use of desktop systems.
Required Education and Experience
- CompTIA A or Network certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with remote desktop support tools.
