What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Manager position at Lighthouse Youth & Family Services?
Lighthouse Youth & Family Services has a Resident Manager positions available in Youth Housing Opportunities. We are currently seeking a Resident Manager to staff our Independent Living apartment building for our females located in Kennedy Heights. Resident Manager will be expected to be on-site 7 nights per week to provide monitoring and supervision to young adult residents. LYS will provide a free one bedroom apartment with paid utilities as well as 10 paid hours per week for this live-in role.
Through Lighthouse Youth Housing Opportunities, young adults master essential life skills while living in safe, furnished apartments. This service is only available to:
- Young adults 17-24 years old who are in custody of the child welfare system/aging out of the child welfare system
- Young adults 18-24 years old who are homeless

Functions:
- Part-time Resident Manager share a 4-unit apartment building in Kennedy Heights with 3 transition age young adults,16.5-21, who will each have their own apartment.
- Residents are receiving housing and training services from Lighthouse Independent Living Program learning skills to live independently, including parenting skills if residents are teen mothers.
- Lighthouse is offering a free one bedroom apartment with paid phone & utilities in exchange for providing supervision, monitoring and cleaning of the building, compliance with program policies, and daily monitoring of residents.
- Resident Manager will reinforce life skills teaching and will be expected to communicate regularly with program staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Minimum one year of experience working with adolescents.
- Must demonstrate maturity and able to act as a positive role model at all times.
Employment Conditions:
- Apartment must be primary full-time residence.
- Resident Manager must be on-site nightly for the duration of shift, 11:00pm – 8:00am, 7 nights per week.
- Resident Manager may have additional employment elsewhere, no daytime requirements to be at the site.
