The ETS Operations Support Technician is responsible for the oversight of shipping and receiving operations for the ETS teams. This position also performs maintenance of the Intake computer lab, equipment, and supplies. Supports the Evidence Coordinator and Intake team with storage facility and coordinates proper disposal of sensitive materials including desktop/laptop computers, hard drives, CD/DVDs, etc. and assists with projects as needed.

This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.

What will this person do?
- Shipping/Receiving of packages containing client media/evidence
- Maintain proper chain of custody for all incoming/outgoing packages
- Track all daily incoming/outgoing packages in a log for auditing purposes
- Prepare and coordinate all Shipping Requests from the Client Services, Intake, Production, and Forensics Departments. Including packaging, courier tasks to FedEx facilities
- Local pickups and hand deliveries of physical media within a reasonable radius of the office.
- Keep a full inventory of shipping/receiving supplies on hand (FedEx boxes, shipping tape, etc.)
- Support the Intake teams with evidence handling by connecting hard drives to Intake workstations for access by remote employees.
- Support the Intake team by assisting with the Intake queue as needed (can include, but not limited to, data copying, data archiving, purge requests, etc.)
- Maintains inventory of Intake lab equipment, software, and licensing. Makes recommendations to Intake management.
- Assists with logging all incoming media into the evidence database
- Store, safeguard, and maintain all media/evidence in a storage facility
- Maintain a clean and well organized storage facility
- Assist with the disposition/destruction of evidentiary media as needed
- Typically requires 1 year of related experience.
- Familiarity with data copying programs (eg. RoboCopy, FastCopy, and Total Commander) desired.
- Demonstrated experience with computer hardware (eg. handling hard drives, troubleshooting computers, etc.).
- Microsoft Office skills and experience working with Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Data entry experience and familiarity with chain of custody procedures is a plus
- Keen eye for detail, accuracy, and organization – this is an absolute “must have”
- Ability to solve problems, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with customer service focus
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment as well as independently.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
- Self-motivated, self-directed and the ability to take initiative and solve problems
- Develop Knowledge of All Shipping vendor procedures (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Courier, etc.)
- Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table
- Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting
- Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends)
