Job Title: Sales Associate – Lighting Showroom (San Clemente, CA)
Job Overview: We are seeking a driven, resilient, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Lighting Innovation. As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of our brand, helping customers find the perfect lighting solutions for their needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers, helping them find the right lighting products for their homes or businesses
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and information about lighting fixtures, bulbs, and design trends
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom
- Handle transactions, process sales efficiently, and collect payments
- Communicate clearly with clients through the quote, transaction, and post-purchase process to ensure a seamless experience
- Prepare and manage purchase orders and invoices
- Assist with stock replenishment, inventory management, and product displays
- Follow up with customers after purchase to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, promotions, and industry trends
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, maintaining records, and data entry
- Assist with administrative tasks and support the showroom team in day-to-day operations
- Collaborate with the team to meet sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Support the owner as requested with business duties
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or sales experience preferred, especially in home decor or lighting (Experience handling purchase orders, invoices, and processing payments is a plus)
- Computer literacy is required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), (Experience with Payjunction, and QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers professionally and effectively
- Attention to detail and a passion for design
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with a flexible schedule, potentially including weekends and holidays
- Must be resilient, adaptable, and able to manage challenges with professionalism
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
