Optical Assembly Process Development Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Optical Assembly Process Development Engineer with expertise in optical assembly and packaging in a prototype or production environment. This role will support the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of advanced assembly processes for next-generation products. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in semiconductor packaging, advanced assembly techniques, and the ability to work in a fast-paced prototype environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, optimization, and validation fiber & lens attach processes for prototype builds.
- Design and conduct experiments to optimize process parameters fiber alignment / attachment.
- Work closely with R&D and design teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective process solutions for prototype builds.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges during prototype assembly and testing.
- Perform root cause analysis of process failures, identifying corrective actions and implementing solutions to improve yield and reliability.
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment used in flip chip assembly, fiber attach, and other relevant processes.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve prototype assembly capabilities.
- Maintain detailed records of process changes, test results, and performance data for ongoing improvements and troubleshooting.
- Generate reports for internal stakeholders on process performance, quality metrics, and prototype build status.
