About this Role
In this role, you will design, develop, build, and test photonic systems that are key to our products. You will also interact with device, hardware, and software design teams to assist in the overall development of photonic systems, specifying, selecting, and qualifying the various components necessary.

Responsibilities
- Design high-performance photonics devices suitable for high-volume manufacturing
- Analyze characterization data to drive improvements on photonics devices and ensure the device / system meets the specifications
- Design of Active and Passive devices including modulators, photodiodes and tunable filters
- Engage in problem solving and contributing with novel architectural ideas
- Actively collaborate across disciplines-with analog, digital, and physical design teams-to layout photonic devices for key test and product tape outs
- Work with the photonics test team in defining requirements for device characterization, debug and validation
- Publish and novel ideas related to photonics, and participate in premier optics / photonics conferences
Qualifications
We offer competitive compensation. The base salary range for this role determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.
Salary Range
230,000-$265,000 USD
