Come join a winning team in Tampa! We are looking for an experienced Machine Shop General Manager. We are a Full service Hydraulic and Mechanical Repair company. We specialize in Hydraulic repair and manufacturing. The perfect candidate must be highly experienced with All aspects of CNC; 5 Axis Milling, Live Tooling-Turning. Manual machining; Large Swing and Centers Turning, Hollow Spindle Lathes, Mills, Horizontal Boring, Grinders, and Honing. We service some of the largest Ships, Amusement Parks, Mining operations and manufacturing companies in the world.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage machine shop personnel. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
• Carry-out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; resolving problems and terminating employees as necessary.
• Safely assist Machinist to quickly and efficiently complete tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have a minimum of 10 years experience working in machine shop environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to communicate effectively to the intended audience
• Excellent MS Office skills, specifically Word, and PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics

Some industries that we serve include; marine, mining, manufacturing, fertilizer and chemical, food and beverage, and metal processing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $92,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
