As we expand, we are looking to add a talented Heavy Civil Construction Estimator to our team. **Position Overview:**
As a Heavy Civil Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various heavy civil construction projects. This includes evaluating project specifications, reviewing plans, conducting site assessments, quantity takeoffs, and liaising with subcontractors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided regardless of experience, the candidate will work directly with the owner to procure work and produce project change orders.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil projects, including roadways, utilities, grading, and drainage.
- Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project scope, labor, and material requirements.
- Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers to determine cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain accurate bid summaries, including labor, equipment, and material costs.
- Prepare and submit proposals, ensuring they meet project timelines and client requirements.
- Work closely with the project team to track costs during project execution and assist with budget management.
- Identify potential risks and provide solutions for cost control and scheduling issues.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry best practices.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing change orders, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of scope changes.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to contribute to the company’s growth strategy and expansion into new markets.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a Business related field (preferred, but not required).
- Prior civil estimating or management experience preferred.
- Proficiency in B2W estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) preferred.
- Strong understanding of civil construction processes, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
