Position Summary: Transports and delivers passengers, interdepartmental mail and materials
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
Special Skills: Current Florida driver’s license; strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service
Position Duties:
- Determines condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspections; reporting requirements.
- Delivers passengers and material to destination by identifying destination; selecting route; driving the vehicle.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment supplies; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects passengers and materials by complying with organization policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Maintain records by completing driver log, maintenance log, and other required documents.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential; following established confidentiality policy and procedures; maintaining professional boundaries with clients.
- Maintains inter- and intradepartmental work flow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.
